The Center for Medicine after the Holocaust [CMATH] is disseminating information about medicine and the Holocaust to students and healthcare professionals through “Champions” who are faculty members in schools of medicine, nursing, public health, and health sciences. From left to right: Sheldon Rubenfeld, President of CMATH; Nobel Laureates Ferid Murad, James Watson, and Eric Kandel; and Walter Hecht, Chairman of Holocaust Museum Houston, at the Michael DeBakey Medical Ethics Lecture Series created by Dr. Rubenfeld in conjuction with Holocaust Museum Houston in 2007-2008. Among the resources available to the Champions is an extraordinary series of videos of lectures by these Nobel laureates and other distinguished scientists, physicians, bioethicists, attorneys, and historians.
