Annual Working Meeting of CMATH Champions -- Register here

Please attend the Center for Medicine after the Holocaust (CMATH) annual working meeting for Champions to learn about teaching and writing about medicine during and after the Holocaust. We will be networking with one another and discussing topics including human subjects research, the recent apology by the German Medical Association, and many others. This meeting will take place at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.

Co-chaired by Dr. Mauro Ferrari, President and CEO of The Methodist Hospital Research Intitute (TMHRI) and Dr. Sheldon Rubenfeld, President of CMATH, TMHRI and CMATH, along with UTHealth School of Nursing, will be hosting the first conference on Human Subjects Research after the Holocaust. Noted scholars in their fields will discuss German and American experimentation on human subjects; the Nuremberg Trial; eugenics and genetics; nanomedicine and its bioethical implications; nurses and human subjects research; the 80th anniversary of the Tuskegee Institute studies; and more. A member of The White Rose medical student resistance organization and a survivor of the notorious Auschwitz twin experiments will share their experiences with us. This meeting will take place at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
